AdmitSee Scores $1.8M to Support Students' College Applications

Oct 6, 2015

AdmitSee: San Francisco-based AdmitSee, has raised $1.8M in seed funding to launch a peer-to-peer college admissions counseling network. The funding round includes participation from The Social+Capital Partnership, Founder.org, Imagine K12’s Start Fund and a number of angel investors. AdmitSee will pay college students to access their successful college applications and in turn charge high school students to access those applications. According to TechCrunch, College students who submit their successful applications are paid a $10 advance and an incremental $2 each time their application is viewed. High schoolers (or their parents) pay $75/month to access the successful applications of their top five schools. AdmitSee currently has over 50,000 successful applications on their platform from schools such as Cornell, Stanford, UC Berkeley and Harvard.
