UPGRADING STUDENTS’ LANGUAGE: Need your students to bring it up a notch from “chillax” and “dope”? Learning Upgrade has launched three interactive online English courses for students in grades 3-5. The lessons are designed to support students’ classroom learning in reading literature, listening and foundational writing skills, integrating songs, videos and games throughout. The courses progress with 60 step-by-step lessons that align Common Core Standards. More details in the press release.
More than just simple vocabulary building and writing correction, the new courses can also help special education students who need more attention, time, or alternative types of media when teaching. The courses respond to incorrect answers with immediate correction and explanation through multimedia, and students repeat skill learning modules until they’ve mastered them.
