NovaNET, One of the Earliest Computer-Based Learning Tools, Closes Its Doors

Sep 8, 2015

NO MORE NOVA: NovaNET, a web-based curriculum and learning management system tool whose roots go back to 1960, has been officially retired by its current owner, Pearson. The tool traces its origins to PLATO (short for Programmed Logic for Automatic Teaching Operations), an effort that began at the University of Illinois. All existing student data will be available for download through August 31, 2016.
