Online Course Provider, HotChalk Rumored to Raise $75M

Sep 2, 2015

HOTCHALK: Reuters reports that HotChalk is in talks with anonymous investors to raise at least $75M, a round which would value the company between $500M and $800M. The Campbell, CA-based company works with universities to create and manage online degree programs. On its website, HotChalk boasts a 90% graduation rate for universities using its solutions.

If the deal closes it will continue Q2’s strong run for post-secondary edtech financing. MOOC creator Coursera, Quad Learning, AdmitSee and others have all raised money over the summer. Expect more money to follow.
