Southeast Asia Welcomes Two New Education Technology Incubators

SOUTH BY SOUTHEAST: Southeast Asia is laying groundwork for its education entrepreneurs, who may be envious of the the triple-digit funding rounds that Chinese edtech companies currently enjoy. DealStreetAsia reports that a Vietnam group has launched the Topica EdTechLab in Hanoi to help fledging edtech startups in exchange for 10 percent equity. Meanwhile, Singapore is home to the Lithan EdTech Accelerator, which operates in two stages: Entrepreneurs first go through a six-week bootcamp, after which they pitch their ideas.
