McDonalds Partners with General Assembly to Train Employees for Tech Jobs

WOULD YOU LIKE AN APP WITH THAT? Your local McDonald's employee may soon be serving you a website to go with your Happy Meal. That's because General Assembly has partnered with the Golden Arches for a pilot program in which a select few McDonald's workers will receive time off and a stipend to take a web development or UX design course. It's not the first time that a fast-food chain is offering to educate its employees: last year Starbucks partnered with Arizona State University to help workers finish their bachelor's degree online.
