EXCELLIGENCE: LA-based private equity investment firm Brentwood Associates acquired Monterey, California-based Excelligence Learning Corporation for an undisclosed sum. Founded in 1985, Excelligence distributes over 20,000 pre-K and elementary educational products to teachers, institutions and parents, including items for arts and crafts, specific academic subjects, and children’s furniture, according to Herald Online.
