HIGHER LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES: $5.5 million to Coralville, IA-based Higher Learning Technologies in a Series A round led by “a group of New York Super Angel investors,” according to Silicon Prairie News. Founded in 2012, the company develops a suite of mobile test-prep apps for professional exams like the MCAT and CFP (certified financial planning). The company of 45 full-time and contract employees claim over 500,000 users around the world. Higher Learning Technologies previously raised $1 million in seed funding in January 2014.
