Pearson Release Study on How Students Learn Using Mobile

Sep 10, 2014

SMARTPHONE SURVEY: More African American (88%) and Hispanic (86%) students agree that using tablets helps them learn most effectively in the classroom than their white peers (79%). But only one in six students attend a school which provides them with a laptop or tablet, according to Pearson's study of how 2,252 students in 4th-12th grade use mobile in the classroom. However, mobile devices--especially tablets--may be on the rise: Only 36% of high school students surveyed own a tablet, but approximately half of elementary and middle school students do.
