Chinese Startup Raises $30M for Online Design Classes

XINGSHUAI TEACH: $30 million to Guangzhou, China-based Xingshuai Teach in a Series B round from Northern Light Venture Capital and Legend Capital. The company was named after the founder, who was listed as one of Forbes' China 30 Under 30 in 2014. Founded in 2008, Xingshuai Teach offers online video lessons for design and animation software like Photoshop and AutoCAD. Classes are free but students can pay a small fee (usually around $100) to get a certificate. The company claims ten-fold revenue growth over the past years and plans to go public in 2016.
