Wambiz Scores $1.6M to Keep College Students in Schools

WAMBIZ: £1 million (US $1.6 million) to London startup, Wambiz, in a seed round from Allan Murdoch Group and UK angel investors. Founded in 2012, the company offers colleges a private social network where faculty and students can communicate about courses and other information. TechWorld says the app is currently in use at six UK colleges.
