​How Do Districts Navigate Multiple Operating Platforms?

COMBO MEAL: While the debate rages on between Chromebooks and iPads in schools, it’s worth keeping in mind that Microsoft is still a force. In this CDW-G survey of 175 IT professionals who work in K-12 districts, Windows still rules the platform universe: 83% use it for instruction; 86% for administration. (Android is a fairly distant second at 68% and 53%, respectively.) Ninety percent, however, say “supporting multiple platforms is a priority for their district.” So what would make this transition easier? These professionals point to in-house support, infrastructure, and “training, training, training.”
