PROCUREMENT SUCCESS: The Houston Independent School District and its PowerUp blended initiative are getting a lot of buzz this week following a snapshot of HISD’s successful blended learning program from The Learning Accelerator (TLA). Amongst HISD’s strengths are its partnerships with other districts (HISD and the Mooresville, NC Graded School district have become best buds), a longer rollout calendar covering five years in total, and procuring products at the right price (i.e. excessive spending doesn’t equal results).
