GET THE SKILLZ: Nonprofit ed organization Digital Promise and the League of Innovative Schools recently hosted a summit in Washington, D.C. to discuss competency-based education (CBE). A report details conclusions and action plans drawn up by attendees of the event. The report also includes five key components of CBE as determined by summit attendees ("Allowing for differentiated learning pathways" is a big one) and exemplar districts who have made the shift, including Regional School Unit 2 in Maine and the Sanborn Regional School District in New Hampshire.
