GENTLY DOWN THE AMAZON: When Amazon startled us with its acquisition of TenMarks in October 2013, it begged the obvious question: what does the ruthless company have up its sleeves for education? So far it’s been mum, but today Amazon offered a small (if unsurprising) peep: a free TenMarks Summer Math Program app is now available on the Kindle. The app, which covers math content for grades 1 through Algebra 2 and Geometry, will also be available on the iPad and web browsers.
