JumpStart Lands $13M for Educational Games

JUMPSTART: $13 million to Torrance, CA-based JumpStart in debt financing led by Hercules Technology Growth Capital. Founded in 1991 and formerly known as Knowledge Adventure, the company is an early pioneer in the educational games; Math Blaster is perhaps its most recognizable title. The company has partnered with DreamWorks Animation to build online games based on its film titles. More details in the press release.
