Digital-Tutors Sells for $45M

Apr 9, 2014

DIGITAL-TUTORS: Pluralsight, an online training company in Salt Lake City, bought Oklahoma City-based Digital-Tutors, an online training resource for creative professionals, for $45 million. The acquisition comes on the heels of some build out by Lynda.com. Analyst estimate that the "e-learning" market could be worth $107 billion in 2015. Pluralsight is on a buying spree: it snapped up PeepCode (for open-source developers), Tekpub (screencasting publisher for developers) and TrainSignal, an IT training company. Customers of both Pluralsight and Digital-Tutors will be able to access the e-libraries of both sites for free. Here's the TechCrunch take.
