A NEW PD FAMILY: Trunorthlogic is being acquired by Weld North Holdings LLC, an investment company led by former Kaplan Inc. CEO Jonathan Grayer for an undisclosed amount. Utah-based Truenorthlogic (TNL) is a company providing professional development management software that helps teachers build new skills and track data on professional growth. Currently, they serve more 1,500 districts, including New York Department of Education, Chicago Public Schools, and Los Angeles Unified School District.
TNL will continue to operate as an independent entity within the Weld North’s portfolio. The PD management platform will also work closely with another one of Weld North’s PD companies, Generation Ready. Generation Ready provides professional development support through consulting and software solutions. The investment company anticipates the two companies will begin to work collaboratively to provide more comprehensive PD services to districts.
