TakeLessons Raises $7M to Bolster Online Learning Marketplace

TakeLessons: $7 million in new VC funding to San Diego-based TakeLessons which provides an online marketplace for private lessons. The round, led by Lightbank, puts total institutional funding at $20M to-date. New investor, Moore Venture Partners, also joined alongside return backers Crosslink Capital, SoftTech VC and Triangle Peak Partners. The move comes less than 50 days after TakeLessons acquired Betterfly -- and it's 100K users -- for an undisclosed amount.
