Blend Raises $2.7M to Help Brands Reach College Kids

BLEND: $2.7 million to San Francisco, CA-based Blend in a seed round led by New Enterprise Associates; other investors include Trinity Ventures, Foundation Capital, Lerer Ventures, Maveron, BoxGroup, XG Ventures and SparkLabs Global Ventures. Blend is a social networking app where college students share photos related to the "theme of the day" (picked by the company), and receive points that they can redeem for gifts and freebies from brand-name companies.
