First, highly-regarded edtech critic Audrey Watters announced this week that she'll be the editor and lead writer for a new subscription news site, "Educating Modern Learners," founded by Will Richardson and Bruce Dixon. Then, #edchat co-founder Tom Whitby makes an appearance in Edutopia this week with his piece on viewing the smartphone as an “accelerator” for K-12 learning.
