I GO GLOBAL: Apple Education is making the global market jump with its tools. On Tuesday, Apple announced that iBooks and iTunes U are branching out on an international scale. iBooks Textbooks will be available to teachers and students in 51 countries (including Brazil, Italy, and Japan). For teachers interested less in content and more in course management, iTunes U Course Manager will spread to 70 countries (including Russia and Thailand). Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior VP of Internet Software and Services, says “We can’t wait to see how teachers in even more countries will create their new lesson plans with interactive textbooks, apps and rich digital content.” Read all about it in Apple’s press release.
