OPENSESAME: $8.1 million to OpenSesame in a Series A round led by Partech Ventures, whose general partner, Nicolas El Baze, will join the board. The Portland-based startup has raised just over $10 million after a $2 million seed round in 2011. The company offers an online platform of over 20,000 courses from 300-plus providers on a variety of workplace training, from basic K-12 subjects to management skills and compliance regulations. OregonLive reports the company looks to hire six to 10 employees to shore up marketing and engineering efforts.
