Edtech Companies Recognized Around the World

Nov 25, 2013

AWARDEES: Near and far, edtech companies are racking up awards--and money. Here in the Silicon Valley, the 2013 Tech Awards recognized Globaloria and Enova as Laureates in education for their work in offering STEM education tools and learning centers, respectively. A bit further north, online literacy startup ActivelyLearn was awarded the "Most Socially Innovative Company"--along with $152K--at SVP Fast Pitch Seattle. And on the other side of the globe, the first Edupreneur competition in India, organized by the Pearson Affordable Learning Fund and Village Capital, found its first two winners: Experifun, developer of science kits, and Sudiksha, which operates a chain of pre-schools run by women. Each will receive $75K in funding. Congrats to all!
