UniversityNow Raises $19 Million to Deliver a Cheaper College Education

UNIVERSITYNOW: $19 million to San Francisco, CA-based UniversityNow in a Series C round led by Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA and First Analysis Corp., with existing investors University Ventures, Novak Biddle Partners, Kapor Capital, and Bronze Investments participating. The company has now raised $42 million, which includes a $17.3 million Series B round in June 2012. Founded in 2010, UniversityNow runs two accredited online universities (Patten University and New Charter University) that offer undergraduate and graduate degrees for an affordable, flat rate.
