THE PROS STEP INTO ED APP DISCOVERY: Appolicious has been figuring out how to best recommend apps for years, and now it’s stepping into the education space with its new resource “AppoLearning”. While many newer startups are trying to vet the best educational apps with editorial filtering and Yelp-style reviews, Appolicious’ heavy tech algorithm chops could give it an edge. Unlike education-specific review sites like YogiPlay and edshelf, Appolicious has the benefit of having gone down this road many times before in other app sectors. This also comes at a good time as Apple realizes the need to direct more attention towards kids' apps with their soon-to-launch “Kids Zone.”
