iOS Educational App Store Acquired by Demme Learning

KINDERTOWN: Acquired by Lancaster, PA-based Demme Learning in an all-cash deal, reports TechCrunch. Terms were not disclosed in the press release. Founded in 2011 in Malvern, PA, KinderTown offered an "Educational App Store for Parents" where iOS apps were rated by educators, parents and children for their learning value. Those that were deemed to have "substantial education value" were featured. Kindertown was a LAUNCHedu finalist at the 2012 SXSWedu.

Other products listed on Demme Learning's website include Math-U-See, a K-12 math curriculum, and Building Faith Families, a Christian-oriented education program.
