STAGECRAFT: All the classroom’s a stage, and according to Doug Lemov, managing director of Uncommon Schools and author of Teach Like a Champion, teaching is a lot like acting. As such, Lemov advocates teachers start training like performers do--practicing skills rather than talking about them, and breaking skills into bite size pieces. On a similar vein, Suzie Boss argues that teachers ought to be great storytellers to "engage, inspire, and move" students and fellow educators alike. Geez, how many hats are teachers expected to wear?!
