TEXTBOOK PLAY: Google will get its foot into the door of the digital textbook business starting this August. GigaOM reports that the Google Play store will have a new section for textbooks, which will offer titles from Pearson, McGraw-Hill, Macmillan, Wiley and Cengage. According to a product manager for Google Play, students will be able to rent them for six months at up to 80 percent discount from the print prices.
