SWIVL: $500K to San Carlos, CA-based Swivl from Grishin Robotics, reports PEHub. The company produces a stand that holds an iOS device and assists video recordings by tracking and swiveling to face an infrared marker that users wear. (We reviewed the Swivl earlier this year.) While there are many applications for such a device, the company is particularly keen on introducing it in classrooms to serve as a "personal cameraman" to record lectures.
