SETTING THE COURSE: Lumen Learning and Instructure announced the release of six "open course frameworks" for six generation education courses, covering development reading and language arts, algebra, and "College Success." Published under open licenses, each framework functions effectively as a blueprint, which includes sample syllabi, exercises, assessments, and OER reading and video materials, that instructors can use to teach the course right out of the box, or modify and refine as needed. Additional course frameworks for business and the sciences are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
