DEBT-RIDDEN CAPITAL: Those divisive talking heads on Capitol Hill need to look no further than their own backyard to wrap their heads around student loan debt. The HuffPo reports that the District of Columbia is first in student loan debt concentration (25.9% of residents carry some debt) and first in student loan debt owed (average: $41,230). Fortunately, the nation’s capital also has the second lowest delinquency rate nationally (7.3%).
