JUST IN TIME for Teacher Appreciation Week, the GettingSmart team released a report tackling many of the pervasive myths behind blended learning, and reminding us that "personalization from teachers and personalization from technology are not mutually exclusive." With better information, and more importantly, better training, "blended learning can be a powerful enabler for reimagining the teacher profession." (Here's the infographic that summarizes its ten benefits and opportunities.) We certainly hope so, given the dismal teacher satisfaction rate recorded in the 2012 MetLife Survey of the American Teacher, the "lowest point in 25 years."
