Freemium TRIPTICO is a diverse collection of interactive resources created by U.K. educator, David Riley. Intended to be used on SmartBoards, Prometheans, and other large displays, the resources include a number of timers, quizzes, flipboards, and classroom management tools that can be appropriated for any grade level or subject matter. Be ready for a considerable learning curve: the Triptico tools are easy enough to use but there's very little help on lesson or activity planning. The downloadable app also requires Adobe Air which brings its own set of issues for the less-technically inclined. But if your interactive whiteboard has lost its luster (or never quite caught on), Triptico could help reclaim its usefulness. The "Plus" version offers an extended set of resources and cloud data storage for $24/year.
