BETA ASSIST is a cloud-based platform that allows teachers, parents, coaches, tutors, and others to receive real-time updates on a student athlete's (or any other student participating in extracurricular activities) academic progress and assignments. Assist essentially combines grading, attendance, messaging, calendaring, reporting, and Dropbox storage into a single "Facebook"-style interface that keeps all stakeholders in sync and increases accountability in students . Co-founders Avery and Wyatt Harrison know a thing or two about managing school, work, and sports -- both surfed competitively throughout high school and college.
