San Diego's First Edtech Meetup

Apr 2, 2013

THE SUN ALSO RISES: Sunny San Diego is welcoming its first edtech Meetup, thanks to the efforts of Rimma Breeze (what a cool name!), director of technology at The Evans School in La Jolla, CA. Why she got started is an all-too-familiar story. As her school got rolling with iPads, Google Apps, and other tech tools, there weren't many places or resources that she could turn to for guidance and advice. "It's tough to be the sole person responsible for tech implementation in schools," she says. "You have to think of cost, installation, hardware specs, student logins...not to mention maintaining the services and systems!" She's hoping to jolt the nascent community of educators and entrepreneurs into action this April 4th at TinyFactory. (Hey SD startups--we want to hear from you as well!)
