Free-ish ADOBE FOR ACADEMICS provides useful and practical tutorials for using Adobe Creative Suite in an education context. We sat down with Adobe's Tacy Trowbridge who informed us that the site is really about "starting with a problem instead of just describing a [product] feature." You won't find much disagreement here. With titles like "Record a lecture," "Create an illustration of an abstract concept," and "Use digital commenting to assess student work," plus the recent unveiling of Creative Cloud, the 'Google' and 'Apple' classrooms of today may become the Adobe classrooms of tomorrow -- that is, of course once you get over the price tag. Resourceful teachers, however, will likely be content with the 30-day trial.
