Sokikom Discloses $2M in Funding from Grants and Angels

Feb 24, 2013

SOKIKOM: $2 million in funding to Mountain View, CA-basd Sokikom from a combination of angel investors, along with grants over the past three years from the Institute of Education Sciences. Founder Snehal Patel shared with us that the company won three different grants from 2009 through 2011, totaling $1 million, which were paid through 2012. (You can find one of them here.) The other $1 million, as TechCrunch reports, came from angels that include Craig Barrett (former Intel CEO and Chairman) and Steve Schoettler (co-founders of Zynga and Junyo). Sokikom provides students in grades 1-6 with an online portal of different multiplayer math games. You can learn more here.
