Echo360: $31 million to Washington, D.C.-based Echo 360 from the Revolution Growth Fund (founded by Steve Case, Ted Leonsis, and Donn Davis--all AOL-honed execs.), reports TechCrunch. The four-year old company is best known for its lecture capture software that converts and post lecture recordings for students to access online. Recently its pushed to re-brand itself (its website tagline: "a leader in blended learning"), much of which involves adding social features such as online study groups, study guides, and "heat maps" that allow teachers to see what parts of the video are getting the most replays (or none at all). Echo360 is currently working with 400 universities across thirty countries and enjoying annual revenues of $15 million.
