TINKERGARTEN: $500K to Tinkergarten in a seed round from Brooklyn Bridge Ventures, Structure Capital, John Katzman and Don Katz. Founded in 2014, the Brooklyn, NY-based startup founded by Brian Fitzgerald, former VP of Product Development at Knewton, and his wife offers a marketplace where parents can find outdoor "play-based learning classes" for children between 18 months and eight years old in their neighborhoods. Classes, led by teachers vetted by the company, range from $25 to $30 per session. More details in TechCrunch.
