S'Cool Tools of the Week: CK-12 FlexBooks, Indiegogo Life, Freemake Video Converter

Dec 21, 2014

TOO COOL (PERFECT FOR SCHOOL): Here we go again! We've got our favorite edtech teacher and administrator tools for the week right here, as highlighted in our Instruct newsletter. Our fave S'Cool Tools are:

Free! It’s helpful to be flexible--especially when it comes to books! “Flex” those creative muscles with the CK-12 Foundation's FlexBook tool, where you can develop your own multimedia textbooks. CK-12 also just released a list of the most used FlexBooks of the year. Check em’ out: Biology Concepts, Chemistry Concepts, Life Science Concepts for Middle School, Physical Science Concepts for MS, and Earth Science Concepts for MS.

Free! Looking to fund projects in your classroom in the new year? Get started early with Indiegogo Life, a crowdfunding site enabling you to raise money from community members and beyond. The company will give $100 to each of the first participating 100 fundraisers before the end of the year, so launch a campaign now!

Free! Looking to use more video tools on your Windows system? Freemake Video Converter helps users change a video’s format, upload tutorials to YouTube, create slideshows, and compress videos for mobile devices and tablets. Download the suite here.
