New Study Suggests Pre-Schoolers Are Smarter Than Us

Mar 17, 2014

SMARTER THAN A BABY? New research out of the UC Berkeley and the University of Edinburgh suggests that preschoolers can outsmart their college level counterparts in logic and reasoning. The study gave 106 four-and-five-year-olds and 170 college undergraduates a pattern puzzle, testing their ability to learn from abstract cause and effect realizations. On average, the young ones outscored the college-level counterparts, demonstrating a superior ability to adapt to changing evidence. This might explain a bit more about how kids can use an iPad before they can form full words. More on the study here.
