Knowledge Delivery Systems Raises $6M for Online PD

KNOWLEDGE DELIVERY SYSTEMS: $6 million to NYC-based Knowledge Discovery Systems (KDS) from Edison Ventures. Founded in 2001, KDS provides online professional development, certification and graduate programs customized for teachers and administrators in all fifty U.S. states. The press release says its clients include large districts in Chicago, Philadelphia, and the state of New Mexico. This deal marks Edison Venture's 13th investment in edtech companies.

Editor's note: An updated press release issued a day later says the company has raised $9.8 million in total.
