Clever Raises $10M from Sequoia Capital

CLEVER: $10 million to San Francisco, CA-based Clever from Sequoia Capital, according to TechCrunch. Sequoia partner Bryan Schreier, who also oversees the firm's investments in MindSnacks, Piazza and Inkling, will be joining Clever's board of directors. The company, which previously raised $3 million in October 2012, offers an API that helps developers access data from student information systems and makes it easier for schools to create and manage student accounts across different apps. Over 10,000 schools are using Clever; more background about its growth here. The company's looking to expand--beginning with a hiring spree.
