State of Technology
A Culture of Experimentation: West Morris Regional High School District aims to infuse teaching and learning with technology. Toachieve this goal, the district sought out federal funding and secured a partnership with Dell Computers to purchase laptops for allstaff members. With these devices, they have rolled out a new LMS system, Haiku, for teachers to share and create content. Theyhave also explored and piloted other tools, such as Revision Assistant, TenMarks and Newsela.
Professional Learning: In 2013, West Morris Regional High School District made professional development and training aroundnew technologies a priority. The district has encouraged learning through technology labs and workshops, where teachers canattend face-to-face courses, online courses or one-on-one sessions with tech specialists to learn more about using technology. Thedistrict also uses MyLearningPlan to organize and track PD data.

Current needs are tools that are compatible with Google Apps for Education, intervention tools that can support struggling students, and a central hub for storing and accessing data.
Initiatives
The district currently supports a BYOD initiative, where students can bring theirown devices or check out Chromebooks from the school. But the district is alsolooking into going 1:1 in the near future.
