Pursuing Excellence: Riverside County Office of Education’s (RCOE) mission is to ensure the success of all students throughextraordinary service, support and partnerships.
College Bound: RCOE participates in the Riverside County Education Collaborative (RCEC), an innovative partnershipbetween superintendents from various Riverside school districts, leaders from local colleges and universities, as well asvarious city government officials, formed to help more students prepare for college. RCEC has committed to a number ofgoals through the 2019 school year, including increasing the percentage of students enrolling in postsecondary educationand decreasing the percentage of students needing remediation upon entering college. In 2015, the RCEC received a $1.75million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for this work.
Career Ready: Focused on ensuring that students not only graduate from college, but are also prepared for the workforce,RCOE’s Career Technical Education Unit offers over 553 classes to 33,000 students in 50 career areas; with connections tomore than 2,000 places of employment.

Leading Edge Certification (LEC): RCOE Educational Technology Servicesis a Leading Edge Certification (LEC) program provider. LEC is a nationalcertification program created by a network of education organizationsthat provides educators with a way to demonstrate their understanding oftechnology’s impact on teaching and learning.
Makerspace: To provide students with tangible skills in key industries, RCOEis partnering with Vocademy Makerspace, an education-focused makerspace.Vocademy boasts a 15,000 square foot facility with six 3D printers, a 90 wattFull Spectrum Laser, Oscilloscopes, a hydraulic press and an electronics lab.
