Duval County Public Schools in Florida serves approximately 125,000 students in grades K-12 through 183 schools, including 104 elementary schools, two K-8 schools, 24 middle schools, two 6-12 schools, 19 high schools, three exceptional student centers, one virtual school, seven alternative schools and 21 charter schools. Some 44% of the students are black; 39% of students are white; 9% are Hispanic; 4% Asian and 4% are multiracial.
The district has 62 magnet schools serving 21,500 students. It has 14,060 employees.
