Weld North Buys Learning House

Oct 19, 2011

WELD NORTH: Clearly we're going to see more of Weld North, the Conn.-based investment firm run by former Kaplan exec, Jonathan Grayer, and funded by deal-makers, KKR. Weld North this week said it bought the Learning House, which helps colleges and universities create online learning program (same space as 2Tor.) In July, Grayer snapped up e2020, which sells digital curriculum used by the likes of blended learning charter, Carpe Diem. Money quote on this week's deal: Learning House expects to add +50 employees over the next 12 months.
