GENTLY DOWN THE (DATA) STREAM: Tom Vander Ark speaks with Lori Fey, Director of the Ed-Fi Initiative, about updates in its ongoing work to streamline data interoperability between different systems across districts and states. Five early adopter states are currently using it, with three more coming onboard. And the new release (version 1.1), scheduled for November, will incorporate feedback from vendors (always music to our ears) so as to allow them to "focus their money on the product instead of the plumbing."
