Tinybop Raises $5M and Grows Plants

TINYBOP: $5 million to Tinybop in a Series A round led by RRE Ventures, with Two Sigma Ventures and KEC Ventures also participating. Founded in 2012, the Brooklyn-based startup develops science education apps for kids. Its first title, The Human Body, has been downloaded 4.9 million times, reports TechCrunch. Last week it released its second title, Plants, which teaches kids about different biomes.
